Wakefield Children's House is dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for children between the ages of 2.5 - 5 years. With a beautiful and bright classroom indoors and a spacious forest garden outdoors, Wakefield Children's House offers a unique, blended program inspired by Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Forest and Nature School ideology. With a thoughtfully designed learning environment, an emergent curriculum centred in nature's cycles and a child-led approach, your child's innate love for learning will be nurtured and nourished. Children are supported in their unique interests with play-based, experiential learning both in the cosy classroom as well as outdoors for hours each day, rain or shine!
TEACHER TINA
Christina is a gifted educator with a sincere passion and love for her work. With a decade of experience in Montessori education, working within both Montessori preschools and elementary settings, Christina creates an optimal home-based learning environment for young children. She carries an Early Childhood Assistant Certificate, a Classroom and Community Support Worker Certificate along with an up to date First Aid Certificate for childcare providers. In 2023, she attended a certified Forest and Nature School Practitioner's training program with the Child Nature Alliance of Canada (CNAC) and has since been passionate about including Forest School pedagogy into her offerings as an Early Childhood Educator. As a Mother of two children herself, you can trust that she is devoted to providing the highest quality of care, learning and support for your own unique and wonderful children.

Monday - Friday
Fees:
$61.37/day
2days/week: $525/mth
3days/week: $790/month
5days/week: $1300/month
*Fees are eligible for Quebec childcare rebates of 50-70% returns which can be requested monthly or yearly. Tuition Payments are the same each month of the program.
Calendar:
Enrolment is from September 3, 2024 until August 1, 2025 and a commitment for the full years program is expected. Wakefield Children's House follows a calendar closely similar to the standard WQSB calendar and includes a Christmas break, a Winter Break and a Spring Break, along with statutory holidays. The month of August is scheduled as a Summer break, however there may be an optional Summer Camp offered for 2-3weeks.
